We’ve gotten new certification of official status as a social service organization. It clearly states that the purpose of the Albergue is not only to care for migrants in transit. It also has a role in building a more inclusive society, with greater understanding of human rights.

Preparing to welcome migrants
Olga y Marco have signs ready to hang. They’re also lining up donations of food, equipment, toiletries, and clothing, along with setting up guidance for daily operations.

With the new changes in asylum laws in the US, effective immediately, there will be more confusion, fear, desperation, danger, and delays. It is likely that in the coming months, even more people will need safe spaces for help and respite.
We have to open as soon as possible. To get there, we need your financial help more urgently than ever.
If you have already donated, thank you! Please share this information and website with your friends.
